| Has anybody used Hellraisers bucktails w/ the wood body? In theory I guess that it would be better than a regular bucktail? It displaces more water + it makes a good target.

| I bought one of those "Bear Claws" in Chicago. Looks like a little different change-up to the normal bucktail. I got a fire tiger one, so if its a little stained at the Cave, she will be getting wet. Never used before, so will let you know. |

| BEAR CLAWS!
Thanks Greg, I have been Banging my head on my desk for 15 minutes trying to think of the name BEAR CLAW!

| If my memory serves me correct, Jason Schillinger uses them with good success and Rob Myers is a Hellraiser rep at the musky shows. |

| Yup. I'm on his pro-staff and I have them at the store also. Last summer/fall, I sold out of my first shipment of them. I have a couple of the Patriotic ones left and my new order is going in.
Hellraiser will be at Madison this weekend and the Minneapolis Muskie show also.

| Yep! Good baits, even better now that he added a bead behind the blade(helps it start spinning better). I add some weight to mine to get them down a bit, but without the weight you can work them very very slow while keeping them high(good for darkest of waters). My favorite is the grey and black body, with either a silver or orange blade. They do roll a bit at times, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. |

| Hey Guys
We went up a hook size from a 4/0 to a 5/0 to cure the occasional body roll. They have really been working good - have had reports of 32 muskies over 50" taken on them in the last 2 years - seem to get a few more reports at every show we attend. We also brought out a smaller size this year 7" 3/4oz. good for pike-bass etc.
Tight Lines,
Pat - Hellraiser [] |
