Just wondering what everyone is expecting from the cave. I was looking at Tony's site today and saw that march seems to be a great time for numbers of fish. So is everyone expecting numbers, big fish, or just paydays, cokes, and to find out what a ramp is?

Meet new people, make new friends, and catch my first muskie. I wanna see if happy hooker uses that 'shine for consumption or as a bait attractant. m

All I know is that it's going to be March, and I'm gonna be fishin' muskies a good 2 months earlier than usual. What can be better than that? Seeing and catching, that's what.

A great time meeting everyone, enjoying the road kill cookout, catching the seasons first, and getting out on the water. Here in Wisconsin we never got a winter. Its time to put away the snowmobiles and get out the boat.

Like everyone else says, I just can't wait to get out ski hunting again. I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone from the boards too. As far as fishing, I'm on a hawg hunt. I get plenty of little ones already close to home, Road Trip means Hawg Trip!!!! If I get skunked, so be it, it happened before and it will happen again.[] []

p.s., who wants to and can go earlier in the week to the Cave ? I have meetings in Madison that Monday and Tuesday till 2:00 pm. Instead of driving 4 hours north to get my stuff and then turn around and drive 12+ hrs back south the next morning, I'm bringing my stuff to Mad Town with me and leaving from there Tues. Afternoon. I have a room already at Tony's, anyone want to split 2 extra nights?? Let me know, thx.

Yes, TomyV its a numbers game and a weather one too. Many factors in March, floods, muddy water and cold fronts.

From what I have been told. Muskies can be caught during any of those problems, but it gets harder. Normal pool to 8ft above is best with warmer sunny days. I have fished the Cave twice, but only in April.

I will just be happy to be with everyone at MuskieFIRST and pitch some baits. [] []

hoping for a major cold front, high waters, and high winds. J.k., hoping that you guys leave a few fish for my partner and I, I was the odd man out, and we decided to head down for easter weekend, and hopefully get a little early slime to start the year off.

good luck

I am mainly looking forward to meeting a bunch of good guys and getting my dad out fishing. I hope we can stick at least a couple of 30 inchers, but I am happy just to be slinging some plugs with the old man. Al[:praise:]
