| I picked up two new Weagles and they both go sub-surface when working them at the same pace as a JackPot. Is it just me or do the Weagles have to be fished slower? |

| My leader is the same leader that I use on almost all of my wood baits, a simple 12" sinle strand wire leader.
Please explain what a "swoosh bait" is? I have not heard of that one before. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | They are definitely a walk the dog style lure. 'Swoosh' is a buzz word describing the sound the lure makes, in my opinion. I like the fact I can make a Weagle dive a bit, and use it to my advantage. I use the rod tip position to determine the position of the lure on top, and the reel AND rod at the same time to pop her back and forth. I run mine a bit different than others I've seen use the bait, but it works for me! |

Location: Bloomington, Illinois | Make sure you have some slack in the line while you're working it...I like a nine inch single strand leader, but that shouldn't make a huge difference...I had to experiment a bit before getting the action I was looking for (swooshing sound)...I agree with Mr. Worrall, being able to make it dive is a good option for triggering fish...Keep working with it, you'll get it!!!

| They are not made to work as fast as a Jackpot. The fact that they sit lower in the water will make them dive when worked this fast.
The current models can be worked this fast, but it requires a considerable amount of slack and takes some practice. The Weagle shines when working very S-L-O-W.
Like Steve said, the "diving Weagle" can be an awesome trigger for following fish.

Location: oswego, il | They can dive but that can be a good thing. If you don't want it to dive, definitely work it slower. The "death march" as cady calls it is deadly. Swoosh and stop, swoosh and stop. Man they hammer that thing. Look at my weagle:

Location: Stevens Point, WI | I also like a little dive in walk the dog style baits, I think it imitates a wounded animal or fish better and I beleive it helps hooking percentages slightly as well. I also like Vipers for this same reason. |
