| Maybe you guys can help........
On 7-5-06 Scotty James [[email protected]] posted here he had Depthraiders to sell and had a list. By the time I contacted him there was 10 left which we made a deal on - $100 shipped to my door.
7-6-06 I sent a money order
7-10-06 He replied he received the money order
7-14-06 I sent an e-mail inquiring about the shipment, he replied he had been out of town and ship them ASAP
7-19-06 I e-mailed again - no reply
7-21-06 I e-mailed again - no reply
7-22-06 I e-mailed again - no reply

Is anyone from that area??? I can always knock on his door on my way to Minocqua in 2 weeks.
There were other DR's on that list, just curious who bought them and did you get them??
There are also rods listed for sale by Scotty James [[email protected]] so buyers beware......
I have made many purchases from Musky fisherman over the years and have found them to be the most honest and trustworthy group going......

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | This sort of thing defines a pretty thin line. I sometimes take WAY too long to ship an item I sold, but I AM good for it. By Jerkin's standard, I'd have been accused a couple times this year.
Here's the deal. If someone posts "I've been ripped off" and it's been just a couple weeks, anything could have happened and then we end up apologizing because we allowed accusatory posts with no 'proof' or 'facts' either way. The guy could have been ill, out of town, had a bad 'thing' happen to him or a family member, near anything is possible. Thing is, some times stuff happens so fast and bad there's no time for a note about it. His last logon here was 7/18/2006, About a week back; anyone hear from him that day or before?
A pattern is another thing. I haven't heard from anyone who did business successfully with this guy yet, but certainly have heard from a few who currently have problems locating him. That's enough to leave up the thread; genuine concern is warranted so no one else ends up looking for the fellow. Seems to be a recent deal, so here's to hoping he comes around and ships out the items he promised.
As with most Buy Sell trade boards, all 'deals' are between the parties. OutdoorsFIRST doesn't warrant anything here, but will do all we can to assist you in getting your bling. |

-everyone cool down for a few moments, allow for the thought that things happen in people's situation, and allow me to do some investigative work here before we send the authorities after this guy.

| Sorry for the delay in getting back with everyone. I have been out of town and didn't have any access to my email. When I got back into the office I checked to see what the status (tracking #) of the packages I shipped was and found that they had never been picked up. So I went back to where UPS picks our packages and found them under next to the table. Sorry for the inconvenience this delay has caused anyone. I will make sure they go out TODAY! Thanks for your patients(Jeff & Matt) with this and it WILL be taken care of.

| Update:
I bought 10 depth raiders from him, and a few days ago I got a box from WI that contained 9 DR's and a shallow raider?
The name on the shipping does not match up but it has to be from him.
An ybody else have luck?

I still haven't received my Fig Rig and I'm starting to lose my "patients". Are you sure you didn't accidentally leave my package under the table that is to be delivered by Pony Express? Did you request that my rod stop off at each little town along the way so that the residents can grit their tooth at it? |
