Location: Wheeling, IL. | Heading to Atikwa Lake lodge in two weeks. It is about 50 miles north of Nestor Falls.
It is fly -in only, about 40,000 acres plus 13 portage lakes, one named Muskie lake, HMM.... Could this be good?
Has anybody been there before?

| the lodge has boat tied up/locked down on one or two different musky lakes..i'm guessing Muskie Lake is one of them?
i have not fished out of the lodge before, but i know group that goes about every other year.
On the musky lakes, you'll have a 14 to 16 foot camp boat, no trolling motor.
one of the muskie lakes is not super clear..has a stain..and this is the musky lake this group fishes. i have seen some nice pics (38" to 47") out of this lake..and they only hit it one or two days a week.
Old men caught them trolling bucktails, the 'kids' got them casting everything...(bucktails, jackpots, tail prop baits).
You'll be the only boat out there musky fishing..it doesnt even hit hit every week...no pressure.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Been there a couple times a long time ago. Good fishing, and a couple fly in muskie lakes in range. |
