I went muskie fishing! On Saturday, with Tuffdaddy and MuskieHopeful. Had a great time, and caught a nice Pewaukee 37"er. Lot's of great conversation, beautiful weather, and pizza and beers. Thanks, Joel. I think that's 2 out of the last three years I got my first fish of the year with you! hehehe

Kevin, was a blast fishing with you, too. Have a great trip to AML and put an Eagle Lake pig in the net!

For the short 4 hours of fishing we were treated pretty well. I took out our fisheries interns from UW Stephens Point again before they have to go back for school. Mike hooked up w/, and we ultimately landed a fish in the low 30" arena, John hooked up w/ a fish of similar size that was lost at the boat, a bit later one more fish of unknown size and Mike finished w/ one short strike and a hot follow from what I consider to be a big fish (45" or so) just before we had to leave. It's nice to know where that one lives... All fish that were hooked or were seen following were on spinnerbaits.

introduced my brother to musky fishing and although he didn't meet a musky for a photo session, we got him going and he did have a couple fish get to the boat and spook him. fun weekend with time on the water with bette, gare and my bro and of course beers and zas at the shamrock. fun taking somebody out who's never been ... we think it's all normal and they bring it all back to a cool perspective ...

Great time Saturday with Joel and Shep. I missed one and got one. Shep also got one. Trolling is fun. I think I could be really good at the sitting and waiting. With Joel at the helm, the waits were certainly bearable.

Fish were hot on the Apple river sat morning.
Caught a 38, lost 3 other fish and had one bite
my 150# floralcarbon leader in half, she also got
away with my new bulldawg! The rest of the fish
i had on a new prototype bait i have been playing
with, so i had an exciting weekend.

Fished with the wife on Vermillion from Wed-Sat. and got a big slice of musky humble pie. We moved a couple of lazy fish, none huge and got some pike trolling, with my wife catching her personal best at 39". Musky Hunter Magazine was up earlier in the week filming for their show, they put 4 fish in the boat I think, with 51.5" the largest. I also picked up a Storm 10" Kickin' Minnow. It was a load to throw but comes through the water sweet, got one 34" pike on it, and has some potential I think. Still had fun fishing the lake, just hope one of these years we hook and land a muskie there
