| Hey, I tried to find this topic in a search but no luck. Maybe I should also ask about "Searching for Dummies." LOL How do you post a picture on message board web sites when there is no link to the stored pictures on your computer. I tried to cut and paste on another web site but that did not work. Sorry, they did not offer computer classes when I went to school. They had typewriters back then!! | |||

| it's easier than it seems... 1) resize your picture to 640x480pixels: the easiest way to do this is to find the picture on your computer, right click on it, and select "Edit". this will open your computer's picture editing software. find/select "resize" and change it to 640x480 PIXELS. (you may have to select pixels rather than inches on the size to do this). save the picture with the new size (you may wish to "save as" a new name if you want to keep the original) be sure to save it as a .jpg file! i prefer other programs, but another way to do the same thing if you have MS Paint is: Open Programs Open Accssories Open Paint Hit File Hit Open Find the pic you want to minimize, open it there Click on Image Click on stretch and skew Then change 100% and 100% to 80/80 As the picture gets smaller....you are resizing.... they need to be smaller than 400kb 2) log in to MuskieFirst. you must be a registered and logged in member to be able to post pictures. 3) post the picture to the thread: start a new thread or reply to an existing one. type what you want in the text box. at the bottom of the gray background area, right above the "submit" button, is a box that says "Attach a file after posting", select this box! (you won't see this option if you're not logged in.) hit submit 4) a new screen will open, allowing you to browse your computer and select the file you'd like to post. select your newly resized picture and upload it. after it's uploaded, hit "return to the thread" to see your post and picture. Location: The Yahara Chain | campfire - 8/4/2006 8:05 AM How do you post a picture on message board web sites when there is no link to the stored pictures on your computer. Mike he is asking how to do it if he doesn't have the picture on his computer. Campfire save the picture to your computer by using the Save As function and placing it in a folder on your computer and then follow Lambeau's directions. | ||

| i think he's pointing out that there's no link in the post box to pictures that are on his computer. if you're not logged in as a registered member, the "attach file after posting" box will not show up. since he's not logged in, that seems a likely situation. whatever the case, it's all there now. campfire, can you post a picture and let us you got it successfully? | |||

| Thanks guys, Yea, maybe that is the problem, I may not be registered. I usually just post stuff without logging in. However, I did just try to Register and it says my email is on file, however, I cannot seem to log in. I tried to email the Administrator but I got theemail back as undeliverable....(?) Can someone from Muskie First check to see if I am Registered? Thanks a bunch......jim furley ([email protected]) | |||

| Ok, it looks like my log in problems are related to changing my username over a year ago. I have asked Muskie First if they can change my username to campfire. If they can, then I can log in and post a picture......then the hard part.....catching a fish worth posting a picture of ! | |||
