Location: Madison, WI | I fished it a lot in the 80's. I don't get there too much anymore. It is a beatiful lake, gin clear and lots of cabbage, steep dropoffs. You will see muskies almost anywhere there is cabbage. I like the south end, both directions from the landing and silo bay (you'll know it when you get there).

| Awesome beautiful lake, there are some pigs in there as well. Very deep and clear. |

| I've fished Big Sand every year for the past 6 years and the cabbage you speak of is limited to ~2 spots on the entire lake. Eurasian milfoil has taken over and lines the entire shoreline of the lake and has choked out the majority of tobacco cabbage. The only advantage to this is that there is a submerged point on the north end that is much easier to find now. The musky population is less than Deer/Bone and despite less pressure, the clear water (~15ft visibility) makes them tougher to catch. Early mornings and late evenings are a must! |

| TRY LITTLE SAND JUST DOWN THE ROAD.
SMALLER POPULATION BUT SOME NICE FISH IN THIER,
TWO 50'' INCHERS CAUGHT THAT I KNOW OF,IN THE PAST
TWO YRS. VERY LOW FISHING PRESSURE AND BOAT TRAFFIC.
STAINED WATER UNLIKE BIG SAND AND NOT MUCH VEGETATION,
JUST PADS AROUND THE EDGES. BEST TIME IN THE FALL! |
