I would throw this question on the following website.

http://www.fishingcasslake.com/fishingreports.shtml

Brian Jones of First Choice Guide checks the site frequently and will be able to give you up to date information. Brian stays on top of things on the Cass chain as he guides on this chain exclusively. There's no one better on Cass!

When are you hitting the water with Brian? He's the most underpriced guide I've seen in my life. You're getting an absolute bargain to get a guide of his quality at the rates he charges. I'm sure whenever you hit the water with him that he'll be on top of the latest up there and your odds will be greatly increased by having him as a guide.

DEMolishedyou,

I think you have made the best decision of your muskie fishing life! Brian Jone's is "The Man" on Cass Lake! He is, without a doubt, the most knowledgeable person I know of on the Cass Chain! I have been going up to Cass for 30 years now. I know the lake as well as anyone who doesn't live up there! I always learn something from Brian! Even though I own property there and go every year, I still hire Brian! He's the best on Cass!!!!

Hey Muskieman,
While there my I caught only one fish, a 46", which is my first musky and Brian Jones was guiding me while I caught it, it was the only musky caught for the week we stayed up there but my dad should of had a 50"+ musky if hadn't set the hook to early, also night fishing is the way to go.

how did you do muskieman?

I was muskiemanns boat partner for that week and we also boated only one fish at 43.5" Had many follows though including a monster about 55 that apparently has been in a certain cabbage bed the entire summer and nobodys caught her. It was fun but as for fish in the boat not very good.
