| To this point, I have been using scrap lead for pouring.
My source is drying up so I need another. Does anybody know where I can buy/acquire lead for melting and casting? |

| Good luck. I've had a hard time finding it too. Depending on what you're willing to pay, I've bought it on ebay, & with shipping, it was just under a $1 a pound. You can also check with construction contractors that do work in hospitals. When they demo an existing Xray room there is lead in the walls. Other than that, you can try metal salvage yards. |

| Gander Mtn has led here in bemidji. I think its right around a buck a pound, dont quote me on that though. I believe water gremlin is who has it in the mtn. |

Location: Freedom, WI | Local scrap yards and tire shops do have old wheel weights that they want to get rid of. Some plumming supply shops have it also, they used to lead cast pipes under ground. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Keith gets his for his lures and 50 cal mini balls for the smoke poles from plumbers and the tire shops. He uses a big blow torch outside to melt them down because of all the stinky stuff involved, and makes ingots with 1/4 pound molds. |

| I used to work for a hospital and they would have tons of the stuff that the nuclear meds would be shipped in. They were literally throwing tons of it away every year, You might be able to try to find a source like that. And it won't make you glow. |
