I may be at Lake George June 6-9. Any muskie lakes in the area? Is the season open?

You're going to have to go south for a couple of hours drive but it will put you on Greenwood Lake, half the lake is in New York and the other half is in New Jersey.
The lake has a good population of muskies and there are several 50 inchers caught there every year. The lake record is 56".
You can go to http://www.mi22.com/ for more info.

Lake Champlain has a limited musky population and is just about an hour north of lake george but i am not sure when their opener is. Two and a half hours due north ,we have a world class musky fishery where i live, near Montreal,Quebec.

Thanks, but I have been told the season doesn't start until June 17. Bummer.

Thanks! I obviously need to expand my research. Is there by any chance an MI22 meeting June 6-9? Longshot but thought I'd ask.

NY muskies in June. Sounds romantic. Check out the rockettes. Talk about some nice gams.

Kevin

Planning for WI muskies in May.

dcates,
Our Muskies inc. meetings are the last Tuesday on the month. We are planning our spring tournament for June 10th, if you hang out one day you might be able to jump into someone boat for the tourney.
It's a great time, lots of food and we have door prizes (lots of lures) and they usually give the winning team new rods and reels.
If I wasn't already partnered up I would offer a seat in my ride for the day.
Let me check my work schedule for the 6th to the 9th because I might try to prefish the tourney.
I'll get back to you, Jeff
