| Has anybody seen the new GPS option for the Pinpoint Sounders?
Is it worth the $400.00?

| John,
Can the GPS option be added to any PinPoint locator? I have 2 7520's and would love to have GPS in the boat.

| The Pinpoint GPS is worth every penny. They are the only GPS that will be able to be networked and viewed from other graphs in the boat. Also the accuracy is guaranteed to 3 feet(WOW) Quality of graphics very similiar to Lowrance Global Map and LMS 160 and 1600. The GPS will hook up to 7520,7420,7430 but not to the 7820.
Thanks

| Steve: As I understand it the GPS option can be added to any ##20 series depthfinder, Sounds like you have the same setup that I have 3700 motor & two 7520's all I can say is what a great system I have had 0 problems takes a little bit of learnig to use but once you know how it is great.
Rob Thanks for the update, I think I will be adding this option before the season opens

| The Pinpoint GPS unit can be added to your unit if you have a newer model. You can tell by reading the version number that appears at the bottom of the screen when you turn your unit on. You can get an upgrade if you have an older unit. The GPS unit is easy to install, the module is only a small disc. Attach the wires from the GPS to your locator. Turn on locator and then shut it off. Turn on again and the GPS is downloaded. It has a media card that is downloaded with 850 lakes, so you are ready to go on most lakes. The best feature is the WASS system. It works off antennas and satellites and as Rob stated it will get you close to your waypoint. Well worth the money to make your Pinpoint System complete.
Good luck, Murph! |
