Im heading to the Madison area the 1st through the 4th. I havent received all the details yet, but the people I am going with said something about Cave of the Mounds is near where we are staying. Its last minute and I am the only fisherman going so I am in need of information. I dont have time to research this trip as I normally would and want to spend about the whole trip pitching baits. I have a couple of questions...

Does anyone know of any good guides in this area?

Any decent esox lakes that have boat rental or any rental places around?

Also, whats the water temps up that way?

Thanks,
Dave

This thread has some good contact info:

You could try Wingra. They rent boats at the launch. Small boats, no motors or TM's. If you have a TM and battery to bring you could make it work. It is a small lake that is easy to fish & loaded with ski's.

Water temps are running 75 give or take a couple.

Good luck!
