| Steve- I will see you or Steve Sworrall or Jason Smith at Milw Muskie show on Saturday w/money order for my bid. This post is sh*t- as it implies that people(MF members) who bid are not paying. I don't believe any MF member would consider withdrawing his/her bid on the Ashton Auction fund items. Ashton's needs will not end tommorrow.
I'll let Xavier (my 3 year old Grandson w/ double cleft) give you the money order himself on Saturday. Yes, he's my fishing buddy & he will be with me! Just like Ashton will be with Muskiegoddess. It's a big job! Thank you for being a part. I know Ashton's parents will be eternally grateful for your and MF efforts. God bless you for your generousity in devoting your time to a very worthy cause.
However, some of the MF members out there might need a bit of time to put together the necessary funds. A little consideration for them would have been nice.

| WHOA AL! This post was NEVER meant to come off that way at all. As Steve stated above it is to let the donators know that they can ship/get ahold of me for addresses etc... It is also a way for bidders to know that payment has been received by me. I'm sorry if it has offended you in anyway. That was and is not my intention. Beleive me if someone does not come up with the funds it will not be known to anyone on this site. The plan was to keep this up until I could get a better handle on where things were and had most bids accounted for then remove the post and deal one on one with the remaining bids. I hope to meet your Grandson and you at the show and I hope you'll accept my apologies for offending you. |

| Since my name is up on the board, I will speak freely. In no way did I take offense to this post. In fact, I am kind of glad that Steve did it. If you think about it, we outbid 60 other guys who were in the chat room that night for the particular item we owe for. We owe it to those guys to get our money in for a great cause. There were plenty of guys who wanted each and every item that was up for bid - all for big bucks - to help out Ashton.
This sets a good precedence for the next auction.
Having a list like this up in lights automatically puts each of us on the defensive and pushes us that much harder to get the money in so we can be marked paid. It is human nature. I am not saying people would re-neg on a bid, but just in case - this helps the cause.
Al, I hear what you are saying in that people might need some time to come up with the money. That is understandable. This forces them to come up with some sort of a plan so that nobody drags their feet. Just a tool to help Mr. Cady pull everything together. Can't wait to meet you and Xavier this weekend! |
