Then after I realized that I but the boat into reverse and it was like I was punching it trying to reach top speed? ANyone have any ideas on why this happened? Any help would be great thanks |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | That sounds like a controls shift cable problem. Take it to a dealer, and don't run it until it's been looked at. |

| a nitro? might be this problem:
my tracker does the same thing when the idle button is stuck out..sometimes it happens....wiggle the shifter (LOL) and see if your idle button drops back in.
once while loading back on the trailer down current, i was just idling with the button out to keep the motor from stalling as my boat only idles for about 10 seconds then stalls (inboard jet, needs power!). i popped into reverse too fast and it thrusted me forward..bad design there cuz i slammed the fender of the trailer. going downriver in heavy current, im lucky i didn't punch a hole in the boat.
kannuuter around with the stick and see if the idle button is out and willl pop back in. like i said, my tracker has it right on the shifter box, and it's a bear sometimes to get popped out or back in...stupid design flaw there. |

Location: On the X that marks the mucky spot | It sounds like the shifter or the cable needs to be tweeked. Shouldn't take more then 1/2-1 hour labor at any reputable shop. |
