Hey guys, I am going to be up on Eagle next week and I just realized how close Wabigoon is to where I am staying. My question, I don't want to travel that far...Looking at the map, has anybody had any luck in bays such as Contact Bay, Larson Bay, or The West Arm? Any thoughts would be appreciated because I am unsure whether I want to go or not, email is [email protected], Thanks!

Some of my favorite water is less than a mile from the launch in Dryden. The North shore, Western Arm, Andersen Island, all are good and all within sight.

Definitely! It's not easy water, but if get stuck on a hot flat clear skies day on Eagle (rotten day), that would be the perfect time to hit the Goon. Bring a map, some topwaters, and a few light spinnerbaits...fish the visible weeds in the north bays, and you're pretty much doing the right thing. We've found fish in 4ft. of water and shallower, but try all the shallow weedy areas.

I'll be doing the same in August.
