I have fished every single PMTT Qualifier as a Touring Trail Team member for the past six years now and have no reservations in saying that this is simply one of the VERY BEST total, got it all, bring the family, rough it or pamper yourself, great fishing, scenery, dining, outfitters, hospitality, aesthetics …. EVERYTHING get away destinations in all of “Muskydom”.
Well folks, for the fifth straight year …. “We’re b…a…c….k”! The super folks with the Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center are again host to the PMTT’s Qualifier #3, Mercury Marine's Summer Challenge! June 24th & 25th, 2006 - Always one of the best attended and most looked forward to venues on the PMTT, the prolific waters of the Eagle Chain have launched many a Pro to the front of the TOP GUN standings as the Trail comes down the stretch to the Ranger World Championship and is a crucially important event for those final 50. And never before, my fellow Musky Hunters, in the entire history of the PMTT has the race for those highly sought 50 Championship Invitations been so close and wide-open this far into the season … EVER!
If you have been following or, more importantly, competing on the 2006 PMTT, you know the “high hard ones” Mother Nature has been hurling these anglers so far. Man, the bite has been nothing short of brutal early on …and there are currently ONLY 14 TEAMS QUALIFIED to advance to the Championship!!!
