Posts: 726 Location: Eau Claire, WI | Preaching to the choir, I know, but still wanted to share a good story about C&R and home ranges. I got this sweet girl last night. 47.5 Our chapter is involved in floy tagging. Have been for years This is a WI DNR approved activity, we are permitted. As we were working on this fish, we found one. #1470 This fish was caught in September of 2005 and tagged by my friend Jason Smith. He measured it at 47.5. The fish looks to have gained weight. I caught it last night about 50 yds from where he caught it. C&R works and fish do have home areas. Just another story to support it. Posts: 185 Location: Pound, WI | Nice story to go with a nice fish! Do the catches and releases get recorded? Brian

| Yes we record them all as best we can and keep them in a spread sheet. Helps reveal a few trends like growth rates, home areas, etc. Jono | |||

| It's a optical illusion, at a svelt 6' 4" & ~230lbs Jason makes all fish look smaller than they actually are! Nice photo's- BTW- Jason always has that same estatic grin in all of his big fish photo's! Have fun! Al | |||

| Goes to show you that photos are somewhat decieving depending on the angle and distance. But this fish was witnessed twice at 47.5". Last I looked I was 5'6" and yes...230lbs..LOL AWESOME FISH JONO!!!! | |||

Posts: 726 Location: Eau Claire, WI | LOL! the crap stain was a little farther south. Malone did a great job on the net and with the camera. Thanks my friend! With Malone in my boat...I think I average about 44" per fish. not bad and all I have to do is let him break things. Lambeau, a Girf sounds pretty good right now! on sub, LBI. Koepp, come up and catch her! If we get her again, she's the new "Dolly", eh Smith? Jono
