| With all the debates and conversations and posts on the gas prices and gas mileage and trips people take...I have a question that I thought about this past weekend while trailering the boat.
Do any of you notice a difference in your gas mileage when trailering your boat with and without the cover on the boat? I seem to think there's better gas milage with the cover on, essentially, creating a more aerodynamic condition. That way, the air's not sinking into the boat and hitting the interior of the boat swirling around and creating drag. Could this be the case? Or is it just in my head?
How many people trailer their boat with the cover on, regardless weather, sunny or rainy, or regardless of whether or not you have gear in your boat?

Location: Athens, Ohio | I use my cover most times I go out. Actually, I think it cuts into my mileage but to not have to worry about the net blowing out or nasty road crud blowing in, it's worth it. Keeps little hands out of it at stops, too. m |

If you see those big Auminum boats out there with their cover flapping every where, I'd suspect they are hurting themselves on the gas mileage.
My 2 cents...good cover= better gas mileage than pulling it without a cover.
