Just wondering if it would work before I butcher a suick to find out.
Thanks

My brother has done this but instead of buthchering up a suick he copied one first. The old rounded style seemed to be more forgiving than the squared off, newer kind. I know he had to adjust where the hooks were hung in order for it not to get wrapped up in itself.

I thought talk of a jointed suick sounded vaguely familiar....difference between the one my bro did and the one in the pic is that the joint was behind the middle hook.

I've gotta try it, got a ton of Suicks that I got from garage sales, seems it's one of thee most available baits.
Love that Suick action, probably won't work but I'm a tinkerer and a customizer so here goes, if it looks good I'll get a video up with the action, if it runs like crap it may never be heard from again!

I make a lure similar in length to the Suick, and tried a jointed model once. I must have had the weighting all wrong, because it would spin out, and not work at all. It hangs in my garage with the rest of the prototype baits that didn't quite cut the mustard. I have caught a bunch of fish on wood jerkbaits that I've made myself. It's a nice feeling.
