Location: Racine, Wi | I definitely troll in the spring. It can get you a few more fish, and some big girls. Last year opening day, we picked up 2 fish trolling after we had cast all morning. I tend to run very short lines in the spring depending on what I'm fishing. That being said, we had a good fish on 2 weeks ago fishing pre spawn fish out deep. The nice thing is, everyone casting pulls the fish out and off of structure, and you can score some "bonus" fish. Not just little guys either. |

| Here in NY, many people shortline troll over large weed flats...4-8 foot of water...monster shads and the such with 2-8 feet of line out...fun to watch your baits and see the fish hit if you are lucky...Ben |
