I took out my son Ryan for his first musky outing.
He decided to cast a grub on his new fenwick rod spooled up with 8 lb. P-line and BANG he gets a hit on the second cast and all of the sudden this 33 inch muskie goes airborne, I couldn't believe it. I ran for the net thinking there is no way he is going to get this thing in with no steel leader.
He did and he was as happy as could be.
The smile says it all.

Nothing better than putting your son on his first musky like my dad did for me many years ago.

Congratulations to both of you, and now be sure to up his allowance for the purchase of about $5,000 in equipment and lures

Big fish are awesome, Dad. But nothing beats a young person with a memory like that in their hands! SUPER JOB!
