Location: North East PA , 20 mins from Chautauqua | Can anyone post a picture of the pounder next to a mag dawg . I have never seen one and would like to see just how big that pounder looks . And can you really throw it or is it a slow trolling type of bait ?

| The pounder is castable with some care. You can't just launch them or you will probably break your rod. You kind of have to lob them. I have slow trolled them last year, it was so cold -10 degrees- that I could feel a bite. I brought the new pounder up when our line froze and it was full of teeth marks. Sorry I have no pics! |

| Here a picture (sorry about the clarity) of a pounder, mag dawg, and regular dawg. I'm not as optimistic about casting these babies as I am that you will be able to lob them!! Yeah it's heavy but it's not on the outside edge of being too big. They could be bigger.

Location: Iowa | Last time I was in Thorne Brothers they had some pounders on the shelf...They had a variety of colors and it seemed to me that they had bigger hooks than the old pounders and that they were more spread out...I like to newer pounders...to order them however you must call the store as I don't think they are on the website yet...

| I like the pounder trolled but it can be casted. I have had good results either way. But if you are going to cast it make sure that you have a good rod and a reel that can handle that much abuse. And spend some time in the gym to make your arms a little tougher. |

| Pounder too heavy???,,I even add bell sinkers to the front split ring so it dosent roll on a fast retrieve,,,Im betting there will be a very good supply of these at the Minn expo in two weeks,,Id love to see a pounder real fish 'bullhead' someday |
