A very big thank you to all who were so kind to my nephew Zach at the show and swap meet. You all treated him with so much kindness and care and took time to talk to him, sign his hat or give lures too him or ones with a truly special price.
He went home with a ton of autographs on his hat and a pile of lures in a beatiful Lakewood box.
He is really looking foreward to throwing these when musky fishing opens in May.

I am sure I will leave someone out and I apologize for it but here is a try.
Steve Jonesi, Lee Tauchen, Laura Morrison, Tony Grant , Gregg Thomas, Tanner Wildes,Ty Sennet, Greg Zimmer, Steve Herbeck, Rob Manthei, Steve Heiting, Jim Saric ,Tim Cerney ,Mark and his dad from GB, and the kind Gentleman from the Muskellunge Club of Wisconsin. and so many more I'm sure I left out.

Yesterday, (Sunday) the "Fonze "and I went and watched him wrestle in Mukwanago. Very cool..............

anyone who would like to see the picture of Zach with the box full of lures, check out the swap page on this site and look at the young man with a hat full of autographs and a camo shirt and a huge smile..............

No apologies necessary!!! I am sure that I am speaking for everyone here that it was very refreshing to see that kind of enthusiasm in todays youth. Perhaps he may be one of the up and coming "young guns" of muskie fishing! Please tell Zach it was great to meet him and that his hat was pretty "tight".

He was one of the highlights of the swap. Very cool to see a youngster out there talk'n the boys down in price. I know I gave him a few of Koepps baits a little "cheaper" than Koepp would have gotten rid of them for, but he was AWOL at the time, so what the heck. LOL

Hope he grows up to be a raving musky lunatic like the rest of us.

You can tell when kids are brought-up right. He was so polite when he asked for a discount I looked at Joel and since they were Keopps baits we both agreed. Sorry Mike.... Great job on a future muskie fisherman....

It's the enthusiasm and overall attitude of the kids that help make this sport special. Glad you enjoyed the show...

hehehe. What a cool kid! I Think I ended up paying Zach to take that jointed Big M off my hands! He drives a hard bargain!

You gave him a good price on Koepps baits, too, huh Joel? Add about 6 more of the Extreme One's baits to your total! Ha!

He was great. He came over and picked up my renosky jerkbait and I asked him if he wanted it, he really wanted it bad, so I gave it to him. His face lighting up was more than worth it.

I gave him few free ones also. No wonder the boxes were so light on the way out.

I did make Laura give him a little kiss for a bait since she was talking to him while he was looking over my pile. Laura was a sweet heart with the boy also, she was teaching him how to barter.

He was at my table all night. Cool kid, he was working me hard. I always gave him a little resistance so he could learn " you got to work for what you want". I should have given him one of my boxes to make things easer for him.

I didn't know the story behind the boy, he just kept comming back. I was thinking someones dad was sending the kid on recon missions. Then I saw the hat and I melted down and gave the house away. I was looking for him near the end of the swap to load him up.

He is our the future. We created a monster. I love it !!!

thanks guys.
the story is zach's mom and my brother got a divorce around 5 years ago.
my brother david has primary custody and he does a nice job with him.
he is a great youth wrestler, and now this year he is on his way to being a great hunter(a 6pt. and a doe openning day)
and now it looks like all of us have created a young monster musky man.....................................
