Hey guys,
My parents want some advice about going on a fishing trip to canada. Now they mainly want to travel 12 hours (from northern west virginia) and they are looking to fish 3 to 4 hours around the toronto area. They are interested in walleye and pike fishing. They also would like a cabin or place to rent. Thanks alot guys for the help.

Hey WV Musky, I can't help them with the walleye, but if they're looking for large pike, go to www.millsmuskyguideservice.com then go to the e-mail link.
I'm 2 hours north of Toronto with plenty of accom. close by. Plenty of 40" plus Pike here.

Take care,
Steamboat

Dude, you left the meeting before the guide's presentation about the Kawarthas area. Look at Pidgeon Lake and that area in eastern Ontario. Call me with any questions, m

I knew I left to early. I told my dad to check out Pigeon (Sp?). Did you win any raffles at the show?

If your parents are interested in walleye and northern pike the Kawartha's are definitly not the place to go. Check out Manitouwabing and Ahmic lakes or the Moon and French Rivers and Lake Nipissing. All within 4 hours of Toronto. Good Luck.

Dude, I won a guide trip with Ace Guide Service for a day on Vermillion. It was indeed my lucky day (plus, I loaded up the can with my tickets, last one on the strip was the winner). Mauser and I are going up there in September, should be a trip to remember.

If you send a PM to Tomyv on this board, he sent me a link a couple years ago for a website that has lots of resort listings for that area. Should be helpful to you.

Thanks for the message on Middle Island. I ended up waxing my boat yesterday in the garage instead of braving the elements. Might get out this weekend if the rain passes us by. m

Mikie, have fun with Ace on Big V

Shawn, Pigeon is the best action lake anywhere. My friend JP is a guide there if you would like someone to take them out.

You'll definately want to fish Nippising and the river for walleyes. What an awesome body of water. Was there in 83, and we had one of the more memorable walleye trips ever. Jig fished over 100 fish a day, most in the 1-3 lb range, but did get a hogs up to 10 lbs!

Try Lunge Lodge on the French river. Great folks, great fishing.

If your parents are interested in pike and walley I can think of no better place than the georgian bay, lots of walley, plenty of pike (true trophy water) and last but not least some of the most magnificant senery in the east. Lodging is ussally very reasonable.Contact Jody mills and i'm sure he will get them set up.almost all of eastren georgian bay is reachable in under a 12 hr. drive from wv. all good roads, all 4 lane up to Parry sound. best fishing for walleye up to mid june... after that there are to many musky fisherman lol artie email me if you want more info
