I have an 8" Shaker with numerous holes/cracks in the etex and the wood....going to do a quck fix before summer (its my go-to spring bait) with some cheap-o jig sealent, but I'm thinking of the best way to make SURE all the water is out of the wood....

Ideas?

Hang it in a room with a dehumidifier.......or send it to me.
Shalom.

I've had success just leaving them on my dashboard. Make sure you take the hooks off. Pat

Hang it in the ceiling of the furnace room or above a heat source like a baseboard heater or radiator.

Slammer if your going to be at the Madison or Blaine MN. shows bring your bait along and stop by our booth (Hawg Seekers Tackle). I'll fix that bait so it's like new with our glue system. It seals holes and cracks instantly, doesn't matter if it's wet or dry.

Hope to see you there.

I just hang waterlogged baits close to the central heating but don't crank it up too much. It should be dry after a day or so

I agree. If you want to reduce the moisture content use a dehumidifier.

Just a thought.......what would happen if you put it in the microwave on low for a while?

You'd get a bunch of sparksfrom the stainless cotter pins, screw eyes, through wire, lead ballast, etc. - wouldn't be good. Now if the bait didn't have those items in it already, well.....
