Posts: 303 Location: Valentine, NE USA | This is going to be good! On Wednesday, Feb. 1 Daryl Bauer from NGPC will be giving a FREE seminar about Nebraska's musky management program, “Past, present, & future” at the inaugural meeting of the Sandhills Chapter of Muskies Inc. The meeting will be held at Scheels All Sports in Omaha at 17202 Davenport St, Omaha, NE. The meeting is FREE, begins at 7:00pm and is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! For those of you who do not know Daryl, he is the Lakes and Reservoirs Program Manager for the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. As mentioned this will be the inaugural meeting for a new, local Muskies Inc chapter. We will be signing up members and nominating/appointing a Board. If you are a current member of another Chapter, we would encourage you to transfer your membership at the time of the meeting but, it is not required. Current Nebraska resident members of Muskies Inc. can expect a reminder mailing about the meeting. Please plan on attending! If you have any questions or won’t be able to attend - but would like more information - please email me at [email protected] or call 402-376-2743. See you there! Brian Sanger

Posts: 101 Location: Liberty, IN (OKI Tri-State) | Great News! ![]() Honest-to-goodness ... I really think it fantastic that Nebraska will not only now be represented in the ever growing ranks of States that boast fishable muskellunge populations, but even more so your willingness to help insure the continued success, growth and development of this "Monarch of Freshwater" by committing the time, effort and dedication required to begin and maintain the newest of all Muskies, Inc. Chapters. So many today seem very willing to allow a small handful of passionate "defenders of the resource" to go about the business of making sure we can continue to experience what many would have to agree are indeed the "Golden days of Musky fishing" while helping to pass along the tradition, legacy and heritage of the outdoors lifestyle to those young adventurers coming behind us. You and your fellow Charter Members of the Sandhill Chapter are to be congratulated for not making the easy choice. My hat is off to you and every single one of the nearly 8,000 men & women from across all of North America who are the rank and file members of Muskies, Inc. International, now celebrating their 40th Anniversary, whithout whoes concerted and hard fought efforts we would likely find ourselves quickley in dire straights; certainly we would not be seeing the incredibley exciting opportunities currently found across her vastly growing range. Happy 40th Birthday MI !!! Thank-you Gil Hamm for daring to dream ... and to the Sandhill Chapter for helping to continue that legacy. From CPR, stocking, research grants and so much more to the most recent landmark Dr. Crossman Symposium held in Indy .... MI has made a difference and YOU, my unselfish friends, are MI ! GOOD LUCK Brian... My most sincere thanks, Bob "the Fin-Addict" Osborne ![]()

Posts: 12 Location: Omaha | Brian, will you have any of your lures for sale there? I'm getting pretty excited about this and can't wait to go as I mentioned on the NGPC website also. Edited by Duggert 1/20/2006 9:06 AM
