Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | What do I need to do to keep Prism tape ON the bait sides, without it flaking of falling off? |

Location: Des Moines IA | Put a coat of Envirotex, or Devcon 30 minute epoxy over the whole bait. Might make it a little more bouyant. But I doubt it. |

Location: On the X that marks the mucky spot | The trick is to put one coat of clear on BEFORE you apply the tape. Then add the normal amount of clear over the tape. The problem with a lot of people's baits is that the clear needs a good base to stick to and the tape isn't it. Once you've got the base, the rest of the clear (and tape) sticks to it. |

Applying prism tape to a rounded lure is a pain, like a jackpot or a manta. If applying to a flat sided lure, like a heckhound or a jake, etc, cut the tape out so that no tape will hang over the rounded edge. note the bottom right side bait in the picture.
