| Taking the lady to Canada in the spring. Walleye and Musky maybe some perch and trout. What is the best numbers location you've been to? Not looking for a trophy. Would really like some nice camp boats to. |

| If you need shopping nearby, try the areas of Dryden or Kenora. Restraunts there too.

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | If you are strictly looking for numbers of fish then look at either Indian Lake Chain ( there are several camps on it), Canyon Lake ( also several camps on it) or Fireside Lodge on the Little Vermilion Chain...most of the Trout Lakes are not true numbers lakes, if you are set on trout look at Cliff lake which has both trout and is an ok numbers lake for Musky

| Better check regs, most places I've fished in Canada season doesn't open until late June for musky. |

| To clarify I thought spring started at the end of June in Ontario. Any case that is the plan. Last week of June first week of July. Considering Eagle lake. I looked into the Indian lake chain I am not exactly sure where it is though. I am hoping to keep my travel time from Milwaukee around 12 hours or less. We will be driving I don't think I can quite afford a fly in. Looked at Stanleys on Eagle boats look nice and I know the fishing can be amazing, but I've never fished the north west side. |

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | The NW Side of Eagle is anything but a numbers lake for Muskies, if you go there expecting that you will be disappointed. Like most trout water it's lower density with bigger fish potential
Indian Chain is 10 minutes north of there. Andy Meyers has great rental boats and boats on lakes you can drive to that have opportunites for numbers.

Location: Warroad, Mn | As far as I know there's not too many Canadian lakes that offer good fishing for walleye, muskies and lakers all in the same lake. I can think of one. Long-Legged Lake, but that may be a longer drive and a little more expensive that what you want.
What I'd look at would be the LOTWs in the Nestor Falls area. There's good walleye and muskie fishing in this area with and occasional perch and smallie thrown in. Then right across the road is Crow lake that is a decent lake trout fishery, and not bad for muskies and smalies.
Lots of resorts in the Nestor Falls area, both on the LOTWs and on Crow Lake. I think, but not sure that a few of them have boats on both lakes.

Location: Hugo, MN | Andy Myer's Lodge is a great place to take a wife or kids. The variety of opportunities available should keep their interest for the entire week. You could literally do a different drive-in, fly-in or 4wd safari every day, and finish each evening on Eagle in search of a giant. The walleye fishing is second to none and there are lake trout up in the west arm. You could even go hammer some smallies if somehow you get bored. I highly recommend doing a fly-in for muskies. I've done that twice and we averaged 30 muskies a day. They aren't huge, but what a blast. I'm sure others will support this. |

Location: Hartford Wi | Cliff Lake has everything! Numbers for walleyes are on the lower side compared to the muskies and lakers. Great lake and having cedar across the street is a big help to as far as the walleye fishing goes. Any other questions just p.m. me.. |

cheap, lots of Muskies just like you said you wanted, and fits your 12 hour driving
If you cant catch a Musky here then might as well take up another sport

| hey I am a newbie here and just checkin out your forum and I have got to tell you that we (my son and I ) stayed at Temple Bay Lodge last year and I think that if you check them out I am sure that you will not dissapointed! it is on Eagle and they have alot of new programs with prices that we checked against others and you cannot beat it. |

I've been to Canyon a couple of times, definately not an intimidating lake. It's a long narrow lake with lots of areas to get away from winds if needed. There are big fish, but I'd call it more of an action lake. I stayed at McIntosh lodge, http://www.mcintoshlodge.ca/ nice place, no complaints.
Another place is Manotak Lodge on Perrault Lake, www.manotak.com. It's just north of Eagle and within your drive time. Stayed there a couple of years ago. Perrault Lake also isn't so huge it's intimidating and the lodge has some boats you can use on an action lake.

| Ash Rapids Lodge in the Kenora area has all the species listed within a 10 min boat ride. Good Musky water right out the front door... Lakers (depending on water temps) between a 2 - 10 minute boat ride (averaging above 30"). Crazy Smallies and Largies out the door too. Walleyes everywhere... just pick a hump.
