Posts: 4266 | Steve Worrall...."We're talking and we can't shut-up! And neither will that little freakin' dog in "Yapping Dog Bay". Always a pleasure when us old farts get together. Mike Koeppe......Like jumping in the boat with someone that I've known my whole life. Always a good time, whether we catch fish in the first 15 seconds or not. Never run out of stuff to talk about. Posts: 452 Location: Waconia, MN | I've only fished with one guide but it was a great experience and it was with Gregg Thomas on the Big Pond/Mille Laces and I'll be doing it again in 2006!

Posts: 462 Location: Antioch, IL | I can't say enough good things about Bill Sandy, Blackhawk Island LOTW. That guy can just flat out fish! I have to force myself to fish instead of watching him work a monster Suick through a fallen tree like a hot knife through butter or taunt a big girl into action with the way he dances a crankbait to life. He has definatley shown me how to use several baits to there fullest potential (not that I've pulled it off yet). Tons of excellent tips and pointers all day long and it is a long day of fishing with Billy. I can't remember ever coming in with the sun still up. There is never a question as to where I will be for one week in every July (and I'm trying like hell to do a couple days in September/October). Billy puts you on BIG fish every time out.

Posts: 13688 Location: minocqua, wi. | Crank .... the perch picture was for real, but on Fence Lake ... slow gliding a reef hawg through .... can you say a "pile" of baitfish! ... that was amazing. i marked a monster on my graph that day that must have had too much better to eat than my reef hawg ... that place scares me the fish are so big ... almost makes you think you're in Minnesota! .... Gare has certainly had some time on the water ... lol

Posts: 154 Location: Appleton, WI | Howie Meyer of 7islands in Presque Isle, I have had the privelage of fishing with him and getting to know him. He has a wealth of knowledge, great stories and knows there is never a bad day on the water. He will share his knowledge also. Always great to be out there with Howie.

Frank Walsh from Oak Island LOTW was great, plus the donation of the trip for the Kly Memorial. If you want to pound all day he is the guide. Knows the lake well, hang on to something in the boat. Steve Cady will keep you laughing even though your fishing a sewer. Plus the view of the full moon in Minnesota will scar your brain forever. Bruce

| Looks like some of you have spent more money on guides than I have rigging my entire boat. For northern Minnesota lakes: Jim Burke Brad Banaszak Mike Marra Daryl/Deron Roche And they'll take you fishing for free and put fish in the boat. | |||

| Jimmy Burke's ability to put you on big muskie is not only in MN. The last 3 DAYS I fished with Jim in WI, I landed a 41.5, 43.5 and 46. By the way, those are the first 3 muskie I have ever caught in that order. Couldn't have done it with out you Jim! My game WAS golf, but since I landed those 3 muskie, I am "hooked"! I'm ready when you are Jim. Canada is next!! | |||

Posts: 63 | I’ve had the pleasure and good fortune to fish with some of the great old time guides in the Hayward area in my younger years. Paul Quail Kenny Eck George Gorski And now a days good friend Terry Peterson, learned a lot from all of them!
