| I have noticed on the swap board lately that quite a few people have been looking for DR's. What is it about this bait? When do you use them? I have about 20 of the darn things and have never caught a fish on one. Maybe I caught one trolling once, but other than that notta, what is the scoop on the DepthRaider?? |

| I own 1, it used to be 2 but lost the other in a snag. I've had the same problem with the bait. for years I used it without anything to show. then one day a 49 eats it. then a 44 does the same. two fish on it. both respectable. both were caught trolling the bait suspended over deep water. I know it is a dynamite bait for other people, but it only has worked for me when nothing else is going. |

Location: Madison, WI | I'm not very satisfied with the new DR.. ..Bought a nice firetiger pattern and casted it for about 3 or 4 hours. I lost an eye, the paint is starting to crack, the bait practically fell apart after a half day.... Not cool, for something that costs 15 bucks. |

Location: Contrarian Island | Depthraiders are very versatile..use them on rocks, use them on weedlines...use them over deep weeds, troll them etc etc
I use to never throw crankbaits years ago but now I throw and catch lots of fish on cranks...I can't think of too many scenarios where a crank would not be an option...Depthraiders are awesome...I probably own more draiders than any other one bait...Get Buchers crankbait secrets book and read it..then read it again...good stuff...you just gotta throw em to start being a believer... |
