Yeah, it is another website, but we are ALL muskie fisherman and women with morals.

Steve Cady had a crappy Christmas and had his garage broken into the day BEFORE he was going to move. His website www.muskynut.com lists many items that could be recognized in OUR muskie world.

I know how it feels to get ripped off.....

Some items can be replaced, but your childhood baseball cards, your kids Christmas presents, and custom lures...Come On!!

go over to muskiefix.com and PM Johannes if you'd like to donate anything...thank you

Stop.

You guys want to buy my kid a few baits I won't say a word. Just let him know his dad isn't as bad as his mom says....

I am an able bodied young man, with my health (pretty much) and a great kid, a nice ex wife, A WHOLE BUNCH OF FRIENDS ACROSS THE COUNTRY, and a bit of bad luck. That's enough for me.

Many many many more people need help than I do. Help them. Help get kids involved in fishing, instead of drugs and crime like the stupid kids that were most likely involved in this.

Seriously thanks for the offer guys but efforts would be much better spent elsewhere.

Thanks for the emails and thoughts.

Tell you what, Mr. Cady, let your friends help replace your fishing gear and your son's, so that you CAN take a kid fishing. Set the pride aside, man, and let your friends help. Pay it forward by taking a kid fishing, and that starting with your son. You need equipment to do that.

SW, I agree with what you just said. I know Cady would have been the first to do something like this for any of us had it happened to us. For those who have sent me PM's, and those that have donated a guide date, I thank you. We will set a date for the auction within the next few days...and see what we can all come up with.

Again, thanks for the support over here on FIRST...it is greatly appreciated.

Whew ... Shady has been gettin the wood laid to him for awhile now.

Please keep us posted as this comes together guys; Steve has done an awful lot of positive "good works" behind the scenes that he tries to keep on the "down low" ... not wanting to bring anymore noteriety than necessary to whatever cause he is championing at that time, and by golly I can guaren-#*^@-tee-ya that had this misfourtune happened to any one of us in the serious Musky Community ... he would be helping to get a rod and some baits in your hands.

He is not the Devil ... he isn't a Saint ... but Steve is a very positive-minded, proactive and generous member of our fraternity and, I for one, would like very much to pitch in.

Good-luck and please keep us informed.

I've had the privilege of fishing with Ace a couple of times and he speaks so highly of Mr Cady both as a friend and an angler. He told me of another crappy day that Steve had when a couple of jerks unhooked the ball hitch and lowered the jack on his boat trailer. Steve, If there is anything friends are good for it's helping out in times like these. Sworrell said it best.. "Pay it forward!"

Cady,
Sorry about your loss, This board has a lot of great members and the musky fishing group is tight knit so relax and let them help that's what good people are all about.

Man that sucks. My sister's place was broken into several years ago......being violated was what hurt the most.....basically everything that was stolen was easily replaceable... Insurance means alot when there's a lot at stake.........our homeowner's policy is just under a grand a year...around $80 per month. (almost $1 million in coverage) Sure, the insurance won't replace memories, but it sure eases the pain a bit and helps when you need to replace those necessities.............even a card collection can be appraised and compensated if it's stolen.
