I just bought an 8" slammer and it runs dead left. Can I bend the thru wire eye? I feel like I'll have to bend the front wire so far that it will become weak.

I bend my Slammer eyes to tune them and haven't had a problem. If that doesn't work I'd talk to Bill and get a new one. Sometimes you just get a dud.

I had one that didn't run straight despite tuning, so slight adjustments are necessary but if that doesn't work get it replaced.

You bend the through wire in the direction that the bait is drifting. Use a needle nose pliers.

Oppps! I thought "Slammer Tuning" was referring to the favorite pastime of Chicago's finest and a certain website moderator. I just had to look!
