ok
my top, most favorite gliders in no particular order ( i havent thrown my HR or BEN e Bait yet though, so i'll refrain)

Beavers perkas and castors--they can dance, glide, dart, turn, AND jump. i love those Perkas. if you don't have one, order one. this along with my bikinis will be getting a TON of stick time next year. i feel bad cuz i got them at the end of the season and didn't get as much time in on them as i wanted.

bikini bait beer belly 8 and beer belly 6-the difference between the 2 sizes are astronomical, but they can both do all of the above mentioned....the BB8 can REALLY glide wide and has a nice shimmy on the backdrop. love that shimmy. the bb6 is exactly that....SICK...u can work it slow and get that shimmy, or fast and let a nice shimmy fall at the the end.....i was ending my day with this bait, cuz it's lighter, but still has enough KONG in it to satisfy....i'm so stuck on gliders, i usually had 3 rigged up and ready to go...Jed's a great dude too, ships fast, keeps in touch and will treat u right.

ALSO, honorable mention is the new dr death topwater from bikini baits...MAN that thing pushes water, and it's VERY easy to work.

Novaks-infuriator....i hate to say this, but no bait out there of the same design can touch the action on these. if you don't have one, good luck, cuz Tim has been out of the ebay loop for a while now. u can find them on ebay, but u're goin to pay. imagine a salmo slider that does what u tell it without yelling, just a litttttle whisper and it's ALL obedient, right out the box.

Novak-GSB-THE standard of medium sized flat glidebats, different, more pronouced action than an infuriator, and troll well/straight retrieve well.

Novak-Jawbreaker-i aplogize fellas, this bait has gotten more stick time than any of my gliders, mainly because i've had them longer..BIG, belligerent and twitchy if you do it right. yes, i said twitchy....if u don't have a jawbreaker, may the force be with u.

llungen jerko and squirko-erratic, productive and FUN as all heck to work. jerkos can be worked really really fast (caught my 3rd and biggest musky on a jerko). squirkos seem to wannna work slower and more controlled. short downward taps for both really get them moving though.

Beavers Castor-jeezus, i love that thing. love the paint, finish and workmanship, top quality as in the perkas too. if u're looking for a sick, disgusting dive on a glider/jerkbait, this is the one for u. not for the faint of heart though, u need to have some man in u to work it, but it makes it all the more fun. it will work subtly however, and if u mix it up, this bait can do a lot action wise.

something i may not have said about all these baits cuz its a given with me---Quality.
all 4 makers put quality work and components on their baits. i personally want to thank Beav, Jed, Tim and Keith for making my musky fishing this year that much more enjoyable and interesting. i also want to thank them for being SUPER cool to deal with. that makes it so much easier to drop hard earned money on stuff to throw at fish all day when i could be spending it elsewhere, it's justifiable i guess to buy from the good guys is what im saying.
can't wait to see what '06 brings from each of them.

I'm looking forward to meeting any of you guys that might be at the Pittsburgh Expo in January.

thanx fellas, i hope u sell enough to pay the next 5 years mortgages!

ps, don't zap this thread please lol

if it don't get zapped, my advice to anyone that doesn't own one, all, some or 17 of each of all the above mentioned baits is to give it a whirl.. hopefully u will and they will help u put fish in the boat and give u some fun fishing.

Cady, u don't count cuz i've only bought weagles from u, and while they do tend to glide sometimes (not always bad either). u do count for being satan hisself and for including me.

buy a weagle too, even though its just another bait, at least u'll get that "u bought another bait!" lecture from the ol' lady.....in which u can simply reply "yes" and really know why u said yes to "another bait".

I think if you go to Jomsuky.com, you can view the lures.

Well, if only my wife would appreciate me like that, I'd be a happy guy.
Yeti, thanks for the kind words. I'm sure the other guys feel the same way, because when your in your basement or garage or shop, turning hunks of wood into things that you hope guys will catch a fish with, sometimes it gets to be long and tedious and you wonder..."What the hell am I doing?" Then you get out there and throw a few of them around and if you can be pleased with your efforts and even smirk a little bit and think...."Something's gonna eat this thing." it feels very rewarding. Hearing that the work is appreciated makes it even better. Speaking for myself, I think everybody knows that we're not getting rich selling lures and that our hourly rate is below minimum wage. Hell, most of what I get goes right back into bodies and paint and hardware. But I love doing it, or should I say I love the end result. Even though I'm riding around with 2 boxes full of seconds and prototypes, I enjoy fishing something that I made myself. And catching fish on them....priceless. It's good to hear that we're making you happy too.
