Posts: 2361 | Anybody throwing it? I picked up a set of baits last week to possibly troll but this thing absolutely goes through contortions in the water but....only 1 fish caught on it with about 7 follows that would not commit. In fact re fished the area with another bait and caught fish behind it. It looks so good, and so helpless, how could they not want to kill it. The size ought to be fine, I wonder if the hydrographic signature is bad? Maybe it displaces too much water for the run of the mill KY fish.

Also, any comments on the effectiveness of the Magnum Jointed Trophy Diver (13 inch) for trolling?

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | use the scamper alot, thoyugh it is modified. Been a nighttime only lure for me, but sure it will work otherwise. i know dudes are cracking fish wide open on the 13" joint out east. I like the standard size around here, again modified, but out of the box is a great bump-n-rise around the weeds(with the straight model being better).

Posts: 3240 Location: Racine, Wi | I'm with Jason on this one. I love using them at night. They pund pretty good and send out the vibe that fish can focus and home in on. Try throwing back at those fish at night with that bait if you can get out then.

Posts: 2361 | What is your modification, Jason. If it is double top secret, pm me. I have had several follows on the thing and twitching it just looks like dinner to me, but something doesn't seem to strike the fish right. One fish only on it. I wonder if the thing has too heavy of an action for these mostly shad feeders I catch?
