Good muskie lake, water temps about 59 degrees, fish only interested in Suckers....and that's all folks. Sucker takes left and right, all over the lake, but not seeing any follows.
What's the analysis? What to throw? How fast to work it?

Location: oswego, il | You are probably bringing in those fish to your suckers. I would throw gliders. Sometimes no matter what you throw, they want meat. |

Don't really think we're dragging the fish in...all suckers are 20 feet off the boat under bobbers and we literally are not seeing a single follow on lures.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | That actually happens quite often where you get a low and slow follow on a glider you never see, and the sucker get's snarfed. Saw that several times last weekend, just after finishing a cast with a Perka, the sucker would go bonkers and there she would be. |

Location: Clintonville, WI | Seems obvious to me......keep doing whatever it is that you're doing!!
Simplify your analysis - sucker bite is ON, casting bite is off.....whether your artificials are bringing in those fish or not.
Cast same stuff, keep working suckers the same way, be on the those spots, etc. The amount of action you're getting would VALIDATE your approach to me. And as always.....that could all change in a matter of minutes.
If so, I do like the sloooooow, biiiiig, glider option this time of year or a sloooowwww rising, biiiiig, jerk bait. I will throw in a series of fast/erratic jerks or pulls followed by the slooooow rise or looong pause to change it up once in a while. |

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | I love this time of year, personally I will be throwing "Alien's" almost exclusively. Aliens are a incredibly flexible presentation lure and can be fished as shallow or deep gliders. Well maybe I'll have a couple of rods rigged with a Zalt 19CM (bumble Bee) and a Zam as throw back's.. But you can bet the "Alien" gets the first and last cast of the day. On most followers, I just jig & glide the Alien right at the boat without bothering to figure 8. Over 1/3 of my fish have been boatside hits.

I have no problem with the results as is....(lots of sucker takes), but the problem being I'm in a tournament today that doesn't allow them on the same lake. Just popped in for a quick bite(I know I'm ashamed I'm taking a break). Heard one 32" caught all morning, and we've only seen 2 fish. Of course I've seen a couple non-tourny guys catch a few on suckers.
