I am headed out later this week to the Madtown Chain. Does anyone know what the water temps were this
weekend? Hoping that the fish have gone up shallow, however with the weather being as hot as it's been,
not sure if they will have moved in yet? It looks like it cools down mid week.

Thanks for any insight!

Good luck out there,

Rob

I was on Monona on Friday, the water temp was back up to 77. We raised two fish at sundown, one was a very fat 45-46". We were fishing a weedline in 10' of water. Talked to two other boats when we pulled out, one caught a 39" and the other caught a 44". There action was also at sundown. All fish were raised and caught on suicks in the weeds. I believe Monona is about to turn on after a tough summer, at least for me, with the high water temps. When the temps get down to the low 70's look for some great action.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like we are a bit away from the shallow bite still.

Was anyone out this weekend? I am looking for a water temp and whether or not the fish have moved
shallow, I cancelled my trip mid Sept as the temps were still mid to upper 70's. I am assuming they have
down a bit.

Fish4muskie1 did you get out today? If so please post a report.

I will be out all day on Tuesday.

Thanks to anyone who can add to this thread.

Surface temp for 10-1 was 66 degrees . The fishing wasn't bad but the catching sucked. Seen 1 fish amid the hoards of pleasure boaters and jetskis Bring on the cold weather to get the yahoos off the water

Fished Waubesa and Monona yesteday. the weather called for clouds and thunderstorms, never happened.
Bright Sun and Wind. No action until right at dusk when a 45 incher launched itself at Essoxsessful's topwater
an missed, then 15 minutes later, a white mouth came up from underneath my weagle , bit it, never turned
on, so no hookset and left a 1/4 inch tooth in the side. One bass on a spinner bait. Water temp was 66 when
we started, closer to 70 by days end. Waubesa was not clear at all, Monona was really clear. Turville bay
was fairly weed choked.

Good luck out there, it was tough!
