Posts: 18 Location: Madison Wisc | Going up to Big St Germain Lake in Vilas County Wisconsin Sept 18 thru 23. I have been fishing there for a number of years but would like to know what the water levels are this year as well as any hot ideas or tips. Thanks!

Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The water is down a bit, that's for sure. I hear the same patterns and techniques are the standard this year, but for one thing; it's been very warm the last couple weeks for this time of the year, so it's still summer as of now. 88 degrees today, 82 tomorrow.

Posts: 18 Location: Madison Wisc | I have always found the lakes at St Germain pretty well open in regards to water skeirs, ski whizs and jets, and etc. being not on the lake after Labor day. The business areas are pretty well open for lots of customers then too. Good Luck!

Posts: 212 Location: Madison, WI | Smelly told me he got 3 of the 8 on Sunday. That is the day he got there. Since the rain stoped on Monday, he has not caught another fish.
