Awesome lure. I'd have posted more often about all of the big fish on it so far this year, but really, it is truly just another lure. It was the predecessor to the Pacemaker which has already become a household name. He makes both custom models and ther model you see in stores. The tapdancer is a weighted lure that runs a bit deeper in the water, similar to a topraider. You can have it made with a stainless tail(louder click) or a brass tail. If you like the pacemaker, you will also like the tapdancer, as both are really quite similar. Ryan makes a great globe too(been an awesome big fish lure for my boat this year and the past 5 or 6), and creepers both in jointed and straight. His side to side topwater(sidekick) is also nice. It is more like a jackpot than a weagle, actionwise, can be run fairly quickly, but does not blow out of the water quite as easy as a jp. He and I have also come up with another lure, to be unveiled soon, and it is truly awesome.......... Something unlike anything ever seen, or made before. Really a neat lure, combining qualities of two steadfast big fish baits already out there. If you would like to contact Ryan yourself and order something, give him a call at (715) 886-5640. He is also looking for feedaback and if you ever haver any problems with any of his lures, let him know and he will set things straight.

Got a 54x24.5 over the weekend on one of his custom tapdancers!
Ryan makes a nice lure. They are well made with great paint jobs.
Also makes a great Globe and jointed creeper.
Ryan is a great guy to talk to and knowledgeable.
You won't be disappointed.

Bruce, I just feel honored to know that I was able to hook you up with ryan. I saw your lures hanging in his shop as he was making them, and I had him make a few similar ones though just a tad shorter and fatter, and they rock!! I cannot wait to see pics of the 54" as that might be the biggest ever on one of his lures. Man, those things are on fire this year for the fatties! I'll let you know when we get a few more protos done of the new lure, as I know you have been after one.

I used it for the first time this weekend, the middle hook kept on getting stuck on the prop and the whole bait would just turn circles as I retreived it in. It happened about 75% of the time I used it. Any way to fix this? I just put it away after about an hour of throwing it. Also is it used as a slow retrieve lure? If I went a little to fast it would start to spin. I like the sound it makes just cant keep it from spinning. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Suggest you cut the hook, at the bend of the treble, that fouls the lure off, should tap fine then.
Never had that happen, but it should work, Ryan tries to line up the clacker hook so that they
don't do that.
Have had best success with a slow retrieve, if it spins slow down a little.
As tail spinner wears in the rivets it should spin easier allowing you to speed up your retrieve.

Can't wait to see the new surface bait Ryan is coming out with!!

Do you have a picture I could look at? Right now it has 2 of the 3 hooks on the middle one. The 3rd hook has been cut and it still hangs up alot.
Thanks

sorry no picture, determine which one of the 2 remaining catches the tail and cut it off.
Might be able to just hang in the air and rotate tail to see, cut that one off
at the start of the bend. Don't really know without seeing it.
You can cut off all the bends, and just use it as clacker, but no hooking that way.
Don't cut the rear hook.

Before cutting the hooks as Bruce said, you should turn the screw eye holding the middle hook, in one full turn. Sometimes that solves the problem. There was also a weighting issue with a few of the first ones that were sent to Pastikas. if you can't get it to work right away, let me know or call Ryan at (715) 213-3618 and things will get straightened out immediately.
