Another incredible week.STILL, THE GREATEST MUSKIE LAKE IN THE WORLD.Had a blast with the Dude and Lazer all week. Those guys just left here an hour ago, so they'll hopefully post some pics tonight.A big congrats to Eric for boating his personal best, a 48" with a serious story.I'll save that one for those guys. For me, it was the week of the figure 8.I had a 40, 42 3/4, 45, 47, 48 and a 49 ALL on the 8.They all ate the new (see 'em at the shows)Medium Double Cowgirl from Musky Mayhem Tackle(Thanks Carrie and Brad) except the 47 which ate the famous bluegill Raddog.Had a few smaller fish too in the 35" range. The action was far from fast and furious and we worked hard for the fish we caught.Rocks and weeds, rocks and weeds.Oh, did I mention rocks and weeds.Find them together and it's magic. We raised a bunch of fish on rocks alone, but they tended to be smaller. We had 2 fish up that would have made the trip alone, one of which was in that different class.A true DC-10.She lives on a small weed covered hump.Hope to hold her someday or at least take her picture. She has a "thing" for Globes.Sat on the rock watching the lights one night , which was incredible.Mother Nature is amazing. Can't say enough about my boat partners for the week. Those guys were awesome.I took some breaks(it's all relative) and the Dude took over. The both of them are do'ers.I had a great vacation sitting on my keister. We also took some killer video.Have the 40 eating the Cowgirl in the 8 and a super thick 42 that ate The Dudes Greenie Weenie(6" green Reef Hawg).Behold the power of the Reef Hawg.Memories to last a lifetime. There were 7 attendees which was kinda disappointing after the hospitality we've been shown and the fish caught the last few years. You all missed out. There will NOT be a Muskie First sponsored event on the Bay next year but stay tuned for another "outing" that may be in the works. And yes, it WILL be on LOTW, because after all, it is THE GREATEST MUSKIE LAKE IN THE WORLD.PERIOD.Oh, and the new Daiwa Luna 300 got a serious workout pulling big blades (and big fish) all week for 12 hours a day and performed flawlessly.I'm sold.Enough for now, college football just starting. Truth is, if my little sister wouldn't have gotten married this weekend, there would have been 8 nuts up there hunting ski's ! Sounds like a trip well worth the gas $. Fished PC this weekend Steve , great little lake. Didn't see any but it was hot, and we were only out til about 1 p.m. Saturday, due to the wedding. I have already devised a plan for the next PC trip. Thanks for the info, and the leader advice. Worked like a champ!

Guest,
I never feel as close to God as I do when I'm on the water, and I'm not religious.Any water, but especially Da Woods.Right on man.No brick and mortar for me. Steve

Actually, there is no reason MuskieFIRST will not sponsor a LOTW outing in the future, and I'm sure we will do just that. This one was sort of a 'member' motivated event, like the Cass and other outings last year. We are focusing on outings we can cover fully, and do the job we feel has to be done if we put our name on a trip.

Sounds like a great trip, glad the fish were going. Congratulations to everyone who popped a muskie, and to Steve and Eric for a couple dandy 'skis.

I stand corrected. I was under the impression that the Woods was off the list for outing destinations.Mr. Worrall, we need to talk.I have some ideas. Steve

Cool, sir, give me a call tomorrow and we'll do a MuskieFIRST Radio report on the trip, and talk about a future outing.

Absolutely awesome, congrats, you guys, on a hard week of productive fishing. I sure wish me and my hill buddy could have made it this time, wasn't to be. Glad to hear of Lazer's good fish, he needed that. Now, come on, Steve, you couldn't squeeze another inch outta that 49? Well, we got to see you break 50 up there last year, I'll settle for that. Glad it worked out well for you all. m

This was truly a great trip. Aside from sticking my PB, there were just so many cool moments on the water. There is nothing better than spending a week on my favorite water in the world with 2 great fishing partners. The fish that I raised on our final night was the biggest that I have ever seen swimming and the reason that I will keep going to LOTW every year. The hospitality shown by the staff at Sab Bay Lodge is second to none. We came back from a tough day on the water to a pie and freshly baked rolls.....not many places would do that for ya. Ill get some more pics up as soon as I get back from class today. Have a good one.

Eric
