Location: Northern IL | Mr. Perry has past away and services will be held next Saturday (8/20).
Below is a picture from In-Fisherman's 25th anniversary issue published in March of 2000.
In the article Buck was asked if he thought he had received just credit for all he has done for modern anglers? And as a true gentlemen, said simply "I won't answer that, I have my niche and have done well enough." Going on to say "we prefer to keep a low profile and just go out and catch fish."
Mr. Perry has meant more to fishermen as a whole than most will ever know. He will be deeply missed. All of our prayers go out to Mr. Perry's family! Thanks Buck for all you did for us!

| Sad news for sure. Mr. Perry was ahead of his time with his lures. I have caught so many fish on Spoon Plugs that I could never count them. And for any one who is wondering , they work on Muskies for sure. His series of books on structure fishing are fabulous. If you take the time to read them , you will come away a better fisherman. My deepest sympathy go out to his family. Sincerely, Mark Smith |
