Posts: 21 | I'm in the process of doing a complete rehab on my '94 esox magnum. The carpet is out along with the front casting deck and part of the floor. My plan is to install an AM/FM/CD player along with compartment and livewell lights. I'm also going to wire a cigarette lighter to plug my spot light into and an onboard charger along with a couple of cup holders. I already have a locator, gps and trolling motor, but I would like to hear other ideas of what you guys have added to your boat or even got as a factory option that I may want to consider installing. You know the extra's in your boat that "you just gotta have" Ubuck Edited by ubuck1 8/11/2005 12:15 AM

Posts: 21 | I thought about the cooler. All that I would need to do is insulate the baitwell and it would keep drinks and food cool. I only use the baitwell in fall for suckers so that is a thought. Or I could cut an area out on the front deck and install one.

Posts: 1936 Location: Eau Claire, WI | Go to your favorite home supply store and get a few cans of expanding foam. Build a cardboard enclosure around the livewell and begin filling it with the foam, watch how it expands so you don't over fill it. If you don't want to mess with expanding foam then you could use any type of waterproof insulation and surround the livewell. Blue or pink closed-cell (extruded) styrofoam cut into pieces and glued to the livewell would be another option. They sell that stuff at any home supply store usually next to the fiberglass insullation, it comes in various thickness so it would be pretty easy to work with. Hope this helps.

Posts: 21 | The pink or blue styrofoam would be my first choice as far as materials but because of the limited access surrounding the baitwell I'm leaning to using the foam in a can. That stuff is messy but may be my only logical option. I'll sit and study it and scratch my head for a couple days and figure something out.
