Dave caught a 56" monster while out with Marc Thorpe last week. Dave has been fishing for skis for a few years and has his eye on the 50" mark and flew right past it. Nice to see Dave achieve his goal ( after blowing a few big fish with me

here is the are a few pics of the monster

Congrats again to Dave and Marc on the fish

Wow....My brother and I caught so many big fish with Marc. Yeah, it's not the same as catching the fish on a figure 8, but how many people really have the chance of picking up a fish in the mid-50" range. Very few from Wisconsin and MN. Fishing with Marc is one of the best experiences you can have musky fishing. You learn a ton, you pick up some HUGE fish, you hang out with one of the coolest guides there is.

Nice Fish, I agree with Steve, Trolling it is a team effort sure the Guide puts a person on the fish but the client still has to fight and land the fish.

Again Nice Fish

It's amazing that my notoriety and infamy has made its way over to this board. Thanks to all my fans for spreading the word. I love you all........It's really too bad I don't know who half of you are because you like to hide behind screen names. That's okay, you're still my friends.

Marc Thorpe is one hell of a fisherman, and knows his stuff when it comes to muskie. I have, and always will give full credit to him for putting me on that fish. "We" caught a 56" monster (a fish that many of you will only dream of), and it is the experience of catching that fish that really matters. I was content just learning from Marc. Catching fish was a bonus. Thanks again to Marc for a great trip, and for putting me on the fish of a lifetime (as he has done with many individuals before me). I can't wait to fish with him again.

Oh, and thanks to MuskyJ for posting my report. I love you Man. Tugs and Fishes!

Congrats on a fish of a lifetime. I'd like to hear details about the fight (I know better than to ask about the spot!).
Well put, Stevie, glad to see you on the board again. Hope all is better with you, keep in touch!
Again, fine fish, we're all bitterly jealous, of course! m

Congratulations on a great fish!!

If you are fishing a huge body of water for the first time I think you would be foolish to not hire a guide. I know guides that hire guides.

The silver bow rail is rumored to be mounted in Marc's garage were one can stand from time to time to recall the hazy memory of the past...Ben

Dave the only notorious thing about you is you blew 3 other good ones before miss piggy came along.
I guess she was the one no one could lie about

Got to agree with Bytor, its a team effort,I can make the reels go off,you got get in to the basket for me.

Thanks Jamie for posting

Last 3 days 24 fish on landed 20,3 over fifty and blew 2 other ones
Got another monster yesterday
See Dave you aint alone

Steve, nice to see you and Swhizz cat post
Steve hope the healing on its way,we need to make the reels sqweel together
Pass me the rod Enrico,"Your Sick"
What you do with my rod, chucked my rod did ya

Only tip I can offer is dont fish location, fish the fish, everyone whom has experienced mother nature at her best will only believe in this

You and the fish must become as one

Marc, I only lost 2 fish! As I recall, "someone" forgot to adjust the drag on one of the reels, and coincidentally the line snapped when I set the hook.

That was definitely the fish that even our buddy cannot lie about!
