| I am heading to Lake of the Woods for the first time in mid August and we are staying at Mylie's Place, north of Morson. The lodge doesn't have their own guides , so I was wondering if
anybody could recommend a musky guide from the area. Thanks for your help.

Location: Greenfield, WI | I worked the Blain, MN Muskie Sports Show, next to the Mylie's Place Booth. They claimmed to be associated with many "top rate" guides.
The individual that was at the booth was Justin Gaudry. |

| Hey Troy,
If you're coming up with John S, from Joliet, the please get in touch with him. He asked me to arrange a guide for the first day of your trip so that's what I did. We need to know if your plans have changed. I can sure point you towards about 100 spots on the map to try during mid August when the fish tend to be on reefs, points and current areas. Lord knows there are hundreds of them within 5 miles in every direction. Thanks.
P.S. Steve: Thanks for the small plug. Top rate guides are getting fewer and fewer on LOW because of the populairty of GPS and mapping software. You have to plan ahead and book very early, as I'm sure you tell your clients when their time is up for each trip. I can't wait for fall to put that big bumble bee crank bait in the water and see if I can find a big dumb one. Hope your season is going well. Maybe see you next March at the MN Expo. |

| Thanks Justin. I just talked to John last night. I was a little confused about our guide arrangement. I didn't realize it was already planned.
Thanks for the replies. We can't wait for our first trip to Lake of the Woods. |

| Fish the first red marker bouy outside Mylie's bay. There is a nice rock reef there with several fish-cranks seem to work best there. Also the first island to the east of Mylie's bay holds fish. Good luck. |
