Hi. I will be heading up to red wing loge on sabaskong bay lotw the last week in july. i have never been there before and was wondering where is a good place to start in sabaskong bay. Not looking for your favorite honey holes but just a good reference or general area on where to start. Should i spend most of my time fishin rock or weeds or both? My email is [email protected] Thanks for the information>

I was on the M-First outings in '03 &'04 and If I had my way, I'd head north of your lodge and fish the area around the eastern half of Rabbit Island or swing east of your lodge and fish the area north of Horseshoe Island . Area seems to have good weedbeds and LOTS of rock reefs and saddles that I think you'd like. The area around Buff Island makes my blood rush when I look at the map. If your in this area, you might want to give some thought to slipping into the Burrow Bay area. Good luck and good fishing.
