| Thinking about fall. has anyone used circle hook rigs for suckers. If so could you give me some details like success, how you hooked sucker so hook tears away from bait, did they work with larger suckers? Any experience would be appreciated Thanks.

| Why not use a quick strike rig? The jury is still out on circle hook rigs for muskies. Some report good results with no gut hooking but yet there are some who have experianced gut hooked fish. Quick Strike rigs if used properly leave almost no chance of deeply hooking a fish.
Do the right thing and use a quick strike rig if you are fishing suckers! |

How's the herpes?
The jury is still out on circle hooks. I would also recommend quick set rigs. I prefer the rubberband type. Some really like the "Presque Isle rig". |

| I'd stay with the quick strikes, Land Of Lakes Tackle makes a good one. Used it the last two years, You hook a tiny like crappie jig in the suckers mouth, then the other hook like a standard quickset. always been in the corner of the mouth. |

| Check out bigtoothfishing.com They have some really awesome quick strike rigs. There are under the "products" portion. They just came out with them this last winter and there are flying off the shelves up in Bemidji MN at Tabers bait. You can even get them custom made. |
