Hey,

I am trying to acquire a copy of an old musky video I saw a few years ago. It was narrated by Randy Travis, the old country western singer. It was produced by I believe the North Dakota Public Broadcasting Company. It was shown on PBS about 5 years ago. It was about the life of Dick Sleight I believe. I believe it was called "Hooked on fishing" or "Hooked for life".

I want to trade a used weagle for a copy of this video.

Does anyone know where a copy can still be purchased?
Does anyone want to trade a copy for a weagle? I also have a brand new Rylure globe I'd trade.
Let me know. Thanks for any help you can provide with the title.

The video titled "Musky Stories of the Old Masters" and the Sequel to that might help you...It outlines Dick Sleight and a tale of a 50 pounder that was caught by him...hope this helps in some way...also might want to try contacting [email protected]...

I found this on muskies101 too "The guide is Dick Sleight, I think, and the video is called "Hooked". The video should be available from the South Dakota public broadcasting service. Not sure if he still guides anymore(he's pretty old), but his son Russ does, (around Turtle-Flambeau Flowage I think)."

I have a friend who borrowed it to me a while back. I bet he still has it. I'll check with him and see if he wants to make a copy for a lure. 2 good ones to choose from I might add!

Greenduck,

This is one of the best videos I own. My mother in law got it for me for Christmas two years ago and it's one of the best gifts she ever got for me. It is called "Hooked! The Life of a Fishing Master" It is narrated by Randy Travis and was produced by South Dakota Public Television. It is about guide Dick Sleight and Ray Hillenbrand's special relationship of fishing for more than a half a century. Ray's wife Rita's big 53 lb fish is discussed and there are pics of it. This video is still available at one of the gift shops in Minocqua in the little mall on the main drag on the lower level. I don't know the name of the store though. I was just there last week and saw it. If they had it in DVD, I was going to buy it. maybe someone on the board from Minocqua can get it and mail it to you. If not I'll be up again in a month or so and I can get it for you. Great video!!!! Good luck and good fishing! TC

They still have an active website for the video, http://www.sdpb.org/www/TV/hooked/fast_facts.htm. Hopefully it's still available.
