| Looking for a modest place to stay late July (anywhere on the lake). $40-55/night, would be open to other costs above or below that range. Place needs to be safe and within easy driving distance from lake, preferably on or within site of lake. Have been kicking around the idea of the Red Door and the Garrisson Inn, which we stayed at last year. The Garrison might be too expensive, though. Anyone know off hand what they charge, how about the Red Door? Does anyone know of places to stay that allow you to bring your dog in? Thanks much! |

Location: Downers Grove, IL | last year, the red door was around $65/night if I recall. Good launch compared to wealthwood and other public launches, clean rooms - and great fishing right out front.  |

| Red Door is best, I don't remember the cost but you are right there for a very reasonable nightly rate  |
