When your skys clear off and the NW wind is blowing you know things are going to be tough. Where do you usually find the most active fish. Considering you're fishing a lake that is more affected by the front, unlike a deep clear lake where the fish can drop vertically through the water collumn to avoid the DOWN syndrome , a shallow water will receive the brunt of it.
1-Hunkered down in the deep weed edges,
2-suspended off of structure but still deep, or
3-up near the thickest shallow cover taking advantage of the warming water.

Be patient bro - we'll answer....

My answer is - I find the most active fish where the storms weren't.....sorry had to do it to ya.

In my opinion, they're everywhere you mentioned, just watching your shtuff go by. I don't beleive they all congregate around a deep hole and say "Wholly crap, did you hear that thunder?". Hence the need to down size and/or slow up. Same locations, different techniques is my rule. But then I only make tackle, don't know how to use it....

I agree with the above. I think they are in the same locations, but just using it different. I tend to fish real tight to the weedlines at these times, and use things that make lots of contact with the cover. Also, get right in the slop. Throw that suick, and make sure to pump it right into the holes in the weeds. A couple of weeks ago we had a cold front go through, and there were lots of fish right in the thick stuff. They were chasing the suicks, and would come out of no where to eat them.

The other thing is grind through the good weeds. (ie cabbage etc). I unfortunately have lots of milfoil around here, so it's tougher to do, hence the suick. Jmacks work wonders as well ripped along the edges.
