Went and hit the water by myself for a couple of hours this am - It was a pretty slow morning for Lotw - I had caught a dink 30" and saw a couple of mid thirty inch fish - the bald eagles are flying around and I am loving life......Went around a rock point and a pretty drake merganser slips off the rock a paddles out in front of me ------- it gets 70 yards away from me a BAM!!! A SKI is trying to eat it!!! The force of the strike broke one wing but the bird is flappin its one good wing and running to shore to beat he!! ---- HMMMM....... Lets put the shallowraider away for a few cast and grab a topraider!!!! Hit high on the trolling motor and got closer to the "warzone" Third cast......plop plop plop plop- BAM!!! 46 inches of pi$$ed off muskie....too cool!

How has the fishing been? We were up monday for the day and it was slow only moved a few fish and no takers. Hopefully it warms up agian soon and the action picks up. We found our fish in the slop on Monday. Where are you finding most the fish now?

Thanks for any info.

Great story Justin.
How is Flag Island treating you. I am planning a trip to LOTW for next year and Flag Island is on my short list of resorts.
Are you having to phone into customs everytime you come back to the island? If not when does that go into effect.

It sound like you are having a good year so far.

Hey Justin,

Was up on Lotw, this past weekend we fished thurs thru Sun, did pretty well,
Did you have tough conditions after that storm went thru thurs night, trying to get a fish on Fri?
Right before the storm we had all kinds of fish up to the boat and missed a ton of them, simply just %^&*%$ up on them.
Then Sat and sun we got better and boated more fish,
Just was currious, we caught fish in back of slop bays and also on main lake rock structure, seems the fish are all over right now
Are you seeing simalar patterns?

So far all of the active big fish (45"+) I have found have been in slop - biggest I have caught off rocks is 40" - but they are moving and I know some of the big fish are on rocks ......I just like the sloppy hogs! - You have a chance at a big girl in any conditions in the slop.
